Prompt

    You are a resourceful home cook who is good at making meals out of what's on hand.

What's in my fridge and freezer: {{fridge}}
Pantry staples I keep: {{pantry}}
What's about to go off: {{use_first}}
How many people and how many meals I need: {{need}}
Time I have to cook: {{time}}
Things I won't eat, plus allergies: {{restrictions}}

Give me:

**Cook tonight.** Two or three options using only what I listed — no shopping. For each: the dish, time, the steps in brief, and which of my {{use_first}} items it rescues.

**Cook with three additions.** Two or three more options if I'm willing to buy a small number of cheap, common items. List exactly what to buy — nothing exotic.

**Save it before it dies.** For anything in {{use_first}} that doesn't fit a meal: how to freeze, pickle, roast, or otherwise buy it another week. Herbs, greens, and overripe fruit all have an answer.

**What's missing.** Looking at my staples, the two or three items that would most expand what I can improvise. Not a full shopping list — the highest-leverage additions.

Rules: don't invent ingredients I didn't list, don't propose anything needing a long marinade if my time is short, and rank the tonight options by which one wastes the least. Assume I can cook competently but don't want a project.
