Prompt
Help me design a project or hands-on activity.
The learning goal or standard it should serve: {{goal}}
Grade level and subject: {{grade_and_subject}}
Time and resources I have (class periods, materials, tech, budget): {{constraints}}
How independently students work (solo, groups, whole class): {{grouping}}
Please design:
- An engaging **driving question or challenge** that anchors the project in something students would care about.
- The **task and the deliverable** — what students make or do, and what "done" looks like.
- A **step-by-step arc** with rough timing, checkpoints along the way, and where I'd check in.
- **How to assess it** (tied to the goal), plus roles or scaffolds so every student contributes and no one is lost.
Keep it genuinely doable within the time, materials, and grade level I gave you — an ambitious project that can't fit the period isn't useful. Make sure the activity actually teaches the goal, not just "fun for its own sake." This is a design for me to adapt to my class. If the goal or constraints are unclear, ask first.
