Upstash MCP Server

The Upstash MCP server lets an agent manage and debug Upstash resources directly, spanning Redis, QStash, Workflow and Upstash Box — creating and inspecting databases, reviewing usage and working through problems without leaving the client. It installs from upstash/mcp-server with an account email and API key. Do not confuse it with Context7, Upstash's separate and far better-known MCP server, which serves version-specific library documentation and is listed separately in this directory.

Before it will answer

Both values sit together in the REST API section of your database page in the Upstash console — the REST URL and the REST token, not the account-level API key. To use TCP instead, drop both and set UPSTASH_REDIS_TCP_URL to the rediss:// connection string.
