The Gitea project maintains its own MCP server, letting an agent browse and manage repositories, issues and pull requests on a Gitea instance from any MCP client. For teams self-hosting Git rather than using GitHub or GitLab, this is the equivalent integration, and it authenticates with a standard Gitea personal access token passed as a flag or environment variable. Distributed as a release binary, a docker.gitea.com image, or built from source with Go. MIT licensed.
