PortSwigger ships an official Burp extension that exposes Burp Suite over MCP, letting an AI client drive real security testing: sending HTTP/1.1 and HTTP/2 requests with security controls, reading and filtering proxy history with regex, creating Repeater tabs, and controlling proxy intercept and the message editor. Burp Collaborator payload generation and polling for out-of-band testing is Professional only. Configured from the MCP tab in the Burp UI, listening on 127.0.0.1:9876 by default, over SSE or a packaged stdio proxy.
