Starter Story, hosted by Pat Walls, documents how businesses are actually started, and its recent work has moved to using AI for the hardest part — finding an idea worth pursuing at all.
Its premise is a pointed one: the human brain is poorly suited to generating good business ideas, because ego, bias and overthinking get in the way, so the process is better outsourced to something without those failings. The gold mining framework it publishes is specific rather than aspirational — a named set of tools and prompts, worked start to finish within a stated time, ending in a landing page.
The format is a walkthrough a viewer can follow along with rather than a case study reported afterwards, which is the difference between a method and an anecdote.
