Rob Walling co-founded TinySeed with Einar Vollset in 2018 after observing, through the MicroConf community, that capital-efficient startups had limited funding choices. TinySeed describes itself as offering community, mentorship and programs for ambitious bootstrapped founders, with the stated mission of multiplying the world's population of independent, self-sustaining startups.

Its model is deliberately unlike conventional venture capital: a year-long remote program, investment in corporate structures beyond C-Corps, and a focus on capital-efficient, non-unicorn SaaS companies. TinySeed puts the position plainly: "To most venture capitalists $10M in annual revenue is an abject failure. To us, it's a great business."

That view sits behind a question the startup pack here takes seriously — whether to raise venture funding at all, rather than assuming it.
