Dr Alex Young
Surgeon and software founder, teaching a research method for finding and validating AI startup ideas before anything is built.
About Dr Alex Young
Dr Alex Young is a surgeon and the founder of several AI companies, each of which he reports scaling past $1 million in revenue in its first year. His argument is that most failures are traceable to the idea rather than the execution, and his material is entirely about the stage before a line of code exists.
The method uses publicly available signal and AI research assistants to compress it: generate ideas in bulk, validate a shortlist, then launch one. He teaches five validation methods, starting from the case where you have no idea at all, where he points at investor request-for-startup lists and published VC theses on the grounds that a team of analysts has already done the market scanning.
The later methods move from pre-validated ideas to mining unmet demand directly from public discussion.
