OpenAI's current image model, listed in its documentation as "state-of-the-art image generation" and served as gpt-image-2. Handles both generation and editing through the same endpoint, and is the successor to the original GPT Image — which in turn replaced DALL·E 3, still listed separately and still referenced in a lot of older integration code.
