A fork of VS Code with the AI agent built into the editor rather than bolted on as an extension, which is the whole pitch: Composer, cloud agents, and MCP servers, skills and hooks are designed into the surface. Pricing runs Hobby free, Pro $20, Pro+ $60 and Ultra $200 a month, with Teams at $40 and Premium at $120 per user. Because it is a VS Code fork, extensions, keybindings and settings largely carry over - the real switching cost is your team standardising on a different editor, not your own setup. Note that Cursor states its allowances as multiples of the Pro tier rather than as plain per-request quotas, so budget by trialling it rather than from the pricing page.
